Painting, day 2

So, I went to work this morning, feeling pretty crappy. Felt like allergies, but after a while, I just decided to throw in the towel and go home. I had a slow afternoon, so I rescheduled everyone for tomorrow, and came home to rest. Ryan had the day off, so we spent the afternoon hanging out and doing projects. He primered the dining room, and I worked on the mural.

I added some brown barbaloots and some hummingfish!

A close up of the BrownBarbaloots - yeah they look a little creepy with no eyes, but I'l get to them.

A close up of the Hummingfish. They make me sooooooo happy.

And... He's shortish and oldish and brownish and mossy......

And he spoke with a voice that was sharpish and bossy!

Don't you just love him?

Oh, Goonie is going to adore the room!! Grandma has always loved Dr. Seuss but hates to admit that she does not know the Lorax??? With a little research, she now knows that the Lorax speaks for the trees!! Soooo, who else would Mom and Dad chose?!?! Grandma is on her way to the bookstore to buy The Lorax :)

Gorgeous mural!! I agree with Heather, freehand or not it is way impressive.

One of my kindergartners last year LOVED The Lorax. He found it on my bookshelf and read it (well, looked at it, he couldn't read) every day during their free time. It was so cute.
